Safety
We really want your children to enjoy our sessions and to do so safely, so unfortunately, here comes the more serious stuff:
Behaviour
Parents/guardians/carers should note that every possible effort has been made to ensure children's optimum safety while at Activitots. Although we do hold appropriate insurance cover, please do be aware that the children you bring with you remain your responsibility at all times. Activitots cannot be held responsible for accidents that occur as a result of playing on the equipment.
Responsibility
We know that all children get excited, and to be honest, that’s exactly what we want! However if we feel that any child misbehaves on our equipment and in doing so, puts themselves or other children at risk, then Activitots reserves the right to ask the child to take time out from playing with the equipment and to ask the parent/guardian/carer to consider whether it is appropriate for the child to continue to play at that session.
Equipment Safety
All of our play equipment is new. Our soft play pieces have been made especially for us. We keep our equipment clean and safe, and most importantly, it conforms to the relevant Safety Standards. For further information, please do ask.
CRB Checks
We are all CRB-checked and we can show you our certificates if you would like to see them.
Cleanliness / Hygiene
Like all mums, we admit we are a little bit obsessed with cleanliness and have more than a passing interest in what makes it on to our little ones’ hands and into their mouths! We assume you feel the same and so we clean all of our equipment with antibacterial wipes after each session. Our mats are cleaned at the end of each week and our soft toys are washed too – we know only too well what magnets for muckiness and food debris they are!
We hope you will help do your bit too and so we also ask that all shoes are taken off before playing on the soft play area, and that all children and adults wear socks whilst playing on the mats.
Illnesses, accidents, and first aid
Obviously, all children get sick at some time, but to keep it in the family rather than the play session, we would ask that children who don't feel well come and see us on another day when they feel better. We’re pretty sure it will be much more fun to play then anyway.
Children will be children and there are few as accident-prone as toddlers, so if your child does suffer an injury, we will ask you for full details so that we can record the incident in the Activitots Accident Record Book, and we will do all we can to ensure that further risks are minimised. We are all first aid trained and most importantly, we are mummies, so we will do whatever we can to help any wounded little soldiers.
A First Aid box is always available so please do ask if you need it.
